19 Janvier 2013.-  Port-a-Piment du Sud .- Nous avons appris que la route  reliant GranPass au Centre-ville est en  construction.  Le projet d’adoquinage est en phase d’exécution. C’est la firme SRME G4 qui exécute les travaux. Selon les responsables, la durée des activités est de 3 mois.  Le pavage de la rue 7 fevrier ( ci -devant Rue du Commerce) longue de 2Kms environ, sera  bien apprécié par ses résidents.  Il permettra de réduire la poussière au niveau de la zone  ainsi que les maladies microbiennes. Nous espérons que les autorités compétentes penseront à l’adoquinage de toute la ville.

KPP Sponsorship Holiday Celebration

January 14th, 2013.- The children of the KPP Sponsorship Program celebrated the end of the Holiday season on Sunday January 6th, day of the Epiphany, also known as Three King Day. In Haiti, it is a traditional day for children to be spoiled with gifts and special attention.

The children were invited to the Rosie Restaurant of Port-a-Piment. There, they spent a special afternoon where the kids sang, recited poems, danced to the music of a DJ, received individual gifts, wrote Thank You cards. They also partook in a holiday meal, after offering graces. By all accounts, this activity was very much appreciated by the children.

KPP wishes to recognize the members in Port-a-Piment  who made this celebration possible. Our Special Thanks go to Mrs Roselene Gentil , Sponsorship Program Coordinator, Mrs Rosie Damas, Owner and Manager of Rosie Restaurant,  and Mr Rene Val . They spent time and effort to bring Joy and Happiness to the children of the town.
