KPP’s Year End Review- Happy Holidays

As the year ends, Konbit Pou Potapiman Inc  wishes you all a very Happy and Healthy Holiday season.  We express our deep gratitude to our contributors . Thanks to you KPP has been able to accomplish the following in 2015:

             In the area of Education:

  • Increase in the number of participants at the Annual Summer Camp in Port-a-Piment. 60 children chosen on the basis of academic excellence enjoyed a 2 week experience that combined learning and fun in a safe environment.
  • The Eric Belfort Awards of Excellence were presented to 6 deserving graduating students from different schools in Port-a-Piment.
  • The Dr. Charles Sinady Awards of Excellence were presented to 6 teachers to honor their performance and dedication.
  • The Anne Muller St Gerard Recognition Certificate was awarded to 4 outstanding retired teachers.
  • The Sponsorship Program covers the educational expenses and a yearly health checkup for over 30 children.
  • The KPP Children’s Library opened 3 days a week during the summer, and was open on weekends during the school year.

            In the area of Health:

  • For 2 days in July, a large personnel including 7 physicians provided free medical care and free medicines to over 400 participants.
  • A refrigerator and a supply of medicines were purchased for the hospital.

            Support of local organizations.

  • KPP provided financial support for the Ti Kan soccer Championship and for the Genie Scolaire contest, both sponsored by NOSH, a local organization.
  • Donated Trophies and Uniforms were distributed to local Soccer Clubs.
  • KPP provided 30 farmers with the seeds needed to prepare the next farming season.
  • KPP Haiti launched its Breeding of Goats and Sheep Project, with a grant from the One World Group Oxted of London, UK
  • The Grotte Marie Jeanne Project is ongoing. The Welcome Center (Sant Dakey,) a well, and public toilets have been built.
