Remonde J Elie was born Remonde Jean in the town of Anse d’Hainault, Haiti, on September 30th, 1948. She was the first daughter of the late Renel Jean and Erska Aärestrup Jean , and the granddaughter of Mr and Mrs Oliver Aärestrup of Port-à-Piment, Haiti. Remonde grew up and studied in Port a Piment and in Port au Prince. She immigrated to the USA; studied in New York, and earned a degree in Business. Remonde worked at the Medicaid office in the states of New York and Florida. At the time of her death, Remonde , together with her husband, Sony, was the business owner of the Professional Health Care Group Inc.
Remonde is survived by her husband, Sony Joseph Elie, her stepdaughter Sasha Elie; her brother, Frantz (Milou) Jean and wife Nicole; her sister Laure and husband Roosevelt Rene; her sister Marie Dacenay, her brother Dr Serge Balmir and wife Rose Marie, her brothers and sisters in law, Mr Ernst Elie, Mr Haener Elie, Mr and Mrs Fritz Demorcy, Soerette Elie Fenton and France Elie Perard.
Remonde was cherished by her nephews and nieces, Mr and Mrs Renel F Jean, Dr Dominique-A Jean, Roselaure and David Rene, Adeemir and Alvin Dacenay. She will be missed by her uncles and aunts Valere( Marin), Laurette , Marina, Javix and Olier Henri, , Nadia Jacques, Nirka Jeune, Ketsia Jean Baptiste, Praxedes Oly and Ferry Jeune and their families. Our sympathies also go to the Elie, Jean, Dacenay, Rene, Aarestrup, Henri, Verret, Ismery, Jeune, Benoit, Balmir, Aubourg, Christophe, Forges, Emile, Eugene, Peck, Auguste, Jean Marie, Lubin, Sidney, Paul, Pierre, Fouron, St Dic, Damas ,Jacques, Giordani, Sejour, Theodore, Laroche families.
Remonde will be remembered for her caring and nurturing personality, and for the Joy that she brought into our lives. May her soul rest in peace!
